Free Water Distribution
JF sponsors and organizes free water distribution all over Coast Province. The project formally began in September 2009 when water shortages in the coast region began running rife. Jaffer Foundation has two water trucks equipped with booster pumps and pipes and a team of 6 employees who are at times forced to work for 18 hours a day due to the severe water shortages in the coast. The priority is given to the less privileged members of the society who have no access to clean water. These include remote areas such as pinango, Kaloleni, Bofu, Silaloni, Palombi, Gina, Masers, Kisauni, Mshomoroni, Vikuatani, Mabesheni, Kilifi and as far off as MacKinnon Road, Voi and Maungu. The trucks also supply water to places of religious worship (churches and Masques) , schools, colleges and Madrassas as well as orphanages and retirement homes, Hospitals, government institutions, police stations and many social welfare institutions are almost fully dependent on water supply from Jaffer Foundation. Every Month, JF aims to distribute 2,000,000 liters of water to the various communities.
